Q: How do I get my username & password?

A: First, you must create an account on our online portal.

Once your account is created, you will receive an automatic email with your username and password. If you do not receive your login details immediately, please first check your spam folder before contacting the ECCO Office at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. With these login details you can then register for the ECCO’20 Congress and also apply for your ECCO Membership.

Note: If you registered last year for the ECCO Congress, you can use the same login details to register for the ECCO’20 Congress. Please contact the ECCO Office if you have forgotten your login details. 

Q: How can I pay for my registration?

A: Payments can be made online via credit card (only Mastercard and Visa credit cards are accepted) or by bank transfer. Online payments by credit card are only accepted up to a limit of EUR 5,000. Payments exceeding that amount must be performed by bank transfer. Please include the invoice number and/or registration number as a reference on the bank transfer.

Please be aware that a registration is considered valid only once your payment has been received on the ECCO Bank account and you have received a confirmation email from the ECCO Office. Therefore please keep in mind that bank transfers could take up to 10 days for some countries.

Please note that cheques are not accepted.

Q: How do I get a confirmation of my registration?

A: Following the submission of your registration, you will receive an automatic email with your registration details. A separate confirmation email will be sent to you after we have received your payment.

Q: How can I access my registration record?

A: Your registration record can be accessed by simply logging in here with your username and password, following the submission of your registration.

Q: Can I first register for the main congress (scientific programme) and register at a later stage for an educational activity or the ECCO Interaction: Hearts and Minds?

A: Yes, this is certainly possible. To add further items to your registration, please log in to the portal with your username and password here and then click on “Congress Registration". Any additions made after your initial registration has already been invoiced will appear on a new invoice that will be sent per e-mail.

Q: Do I need to register separately to attend the satellite symposia offered at the ECCO Congress?

A: No, access to the satellite symposia is included in your congress registration, no separate registration is needed. As the number of seats is limited, some satellite symposium organisers may require advance registration (free of charge) – details would be announced in due course by the satellite symposium organiser.

Q: Can I register only for one congress day?

A: Registrations for a specific day are not possible in advance. Day tickets are only available onsite at the registration desk at the Reed Messe Wien. The number of day tickets is not limited, so you will certainly be able to purchase a day ticket onsite.

Q: How can I pay for an ECCO Interaction ticket or educational activity myself when I was registered for the main congress fee by a company?

A: Please contact the ECCO Office at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and provide the following details

  • Name 
  • Invoice address (incl. VAT Number if applicable) 
  • Number and type of ticket you would like to purchase

The ECCO Office will then set up your registration manually and you will then be able to pay for the tickets either by credit card or by bank transfer.

Q: I only want to visit the industry and poster exhibition. Do I need to register for the main congress programme?

A: No, you can register for the exhibition only. Please log into the portal with your username and password hereclick on "Congress Registration" and then "New Exhibitor Registration".

Q: I'm registered but unable to attend. Can I get a refund of the registration fee?

A: A cancelled registration can be taken over by another participant (name change) free of charge until January 15, 2020. In case you do not want to transfer your registration to another participant, the following fees apply:

  • Cancellation until November 13, 2019: A refund of 50% of your registration fee is granted.
  • Cancellation after November 13, 2019: No refund can be granted.

Q: Can I register before the early fee deadline and pay later?

A: In order to benefit from the early registration fee, your payment must be received by November 13, 2019, otherwise the late registration fee will automatically become effective.

Q: I need an invitation letter for my visa application. How do I obtain one?

A: Before obtaining an invitation letter, all registration fees must be fully paid. Individuals can request their invitation letter by logging with their username and password here, click on "Congress Registration", "Edit Registration" and then "Request Visa Letter". Group leaders can also request invitation letter/s on behalf of their group's participants by proceeding the same way. More information on visa letters can be found here.

Q: How can I receive my congress badge?

A: Your congress badge can be picked up onsite at the registration desk at the Reed Messe Wien during the opening hours of the registration desk and self-printing stations. Badges are not sent in advance to delegates by post. Please note that in order to pick up a pre-paid ticket, the barcode voucher or passport/ID of the delegate must be shown.

For group congress registrations, the badges can be picked up in bulk at the group registration desk, if this has been communicated to the congress organisers at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. in advance.

Q: How and when will I receive my CME certificate?

 A: You will receive the link to a congress evaluation form via e-mail at the end of the Congress. We kindly ask you to log in and fill out this evaluation form. You will be able to download your individual CME certificate immediately upon completion of the survey.

In order to receive your evaluation form, a valid individual e-mail address must be submitted during the registration process.

Q: How and when will I receive my certificate of attendance?

A: After the congress, you will be able to download your certificate of attendance online in your user area. 

Q: What can I do if I have lost or forgotten my name badge?

A: Please proceed to the registration desk. A deposit charge equal to the current day ticket rate for reprints will be requested for lost or forgotten name badges and will be refunded upon subsequent presentation of both badges (original and reprint).

Q: How can I register my group for the ECCO'20 Congress?

A: To register a group for the congress, the group leader needs to have an account with ECCO. If you have registered your group already for the ECCO’19 Congress, you can use the same login details for the ECCO’20 Congress registration.

If you have forgotten your password or username, please click here.

If you do not have an account yet, please click here where you will be asked to create a new account with your personal details. After you have set up the account you will receive your login details via email.

With your ECCO Username and Password you can log in to our online portal to register your group for the ECCO’20 Vienna Congress.

There is no minimum number of participants for group registrations. If you make a congress registration on behalf of someone else, please click on the "New Group Registration from 1 or multiple delegates".

Early registration for groups - by November 06, 2019:

If you wish to purchase member congress registrations and non-member early, late, or onsite congress registrations, please log in to the online portal with your details. These registrations can be added directly online by the group leader. Please select “Add participant” and follow the step by step process.

During the registration process we will ask you for the following information

  • Your personal contact details
  • The invoice details for this registration
  • Delegate details
  • Full name and title
  • Personal address of each delegate (institute/company or private including street, ZIP code, city and country)
  • Personal e-mail address of each delegate (individual e-mail address for each delegate – the same e-mail address cannot be used twice) 
  • Profession
  • Member ID (if applicable, to benefit from the reduced member congress fees)

Please be reminded that in order to benefit from the member registration fee, the ECCO Membership fee 2020 of the delegate must have been already paid and confirmed before their congress registration! Please allow approximately 5 business days between the membership fee payment and the date of the congress registration. We strongly advise to pay the membership fee well in advance to avoid trouble when registering close to the congress registration deadlines.

Q: How can I purchase no name early non-member registrations?

A: As in the previous years, it is possible to buy a certain number of early non-member registrations (without providing delegate details at this stage) and profit from the early registration fee by paying in full before November 13, 2019.

To buy early non-member registrations, please log in to the online portalclick "CONGRESS REGISTRATION" and then select "New Purchase Early, Non-Member Registration" (without names)Please note that full names, institutions and individual delegate email addresses have to be provided by January 15, 2020. In case individual contact data is not provided by that date, the registration becomes invalid and will not be refunded. Company address and company email address as registration data for the delegates cannot be accepted.

Q: When and how do I need to submit the names and contact details of the group participants?

A: If you purchase member congress fees, the delegate names have to be submitted at the time of registration (no matter if early, late or onsite congress fee).

If you purchase non-member early congress fees (without names, before November 6, 2019), you must provide the names by January 15, 2020 (no names needed at time of registration). Once you have them available, please log in to the online portal, click on "CONGRESS REGISTRATION", then select your group request and add the delegate's details. In case individual contact data is not provided by the deadline, the registration becomes invalid and will not be refunded. Company address and company email address as registration data for the delegates cannot be accepted.

If you purchase non-member late or onsite congress fees, the names must be provided at the time of the registration.

Please note that the following details have to be provided for each delegate individually:

  • Full name and title
  • Personal address of each delegate (institute/company or private including street, ZIP code, city and country)
  • Personal e-mail address of each delegate (individual e-mail address for each delegate – the same e-mail address cannot be used twice) 
  • Profession
  • Member ID (if applicable, to benefit from the reduced member congress fees)

Company address and company email address as registration data for the delegates cannot be accepted.

Q: Why is it required to provide individual e-mail addresses for each delegate?

A: As stated in our Terms and Conditions, all registrations with incorrect contact information are considered invalid.

We require individual contact details for each delegate in order to provide them with their applicable CME credits after the congress. Each delegate will receive an e-mail containing a personalised survey that must be filled out by the individual delegate. Once this has been completed, they may download their individual certificates.

We understand that your delegates may not wish to receive any additional e-mails from us, and we are happy to assist you in this matter. Q: Can I replace one delegate with another?

A: Name changes are possible free of charge until January 15, 2020. Afterwards, an existing registration cannot be taken over by another participant, and a new registration needs to be purchased.

Q: Can I pay by bank transfer/credit card?

A: Amounts exceeding EUR 5,000- must be paid by bank transfer while smaller amounts can be settled by credit card (Mastercard and Visa only). Please include the invoice number and/or registration number on your payment.

Q: How can I check if my group participants have already renewed their ECCO Membership for 2020?

A: Please contact the ECCO Office at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and provide us with the delegate names. We can then check the ECCO Membership status of each person. 

Q: How can I add exhibitor tickets to my group?

A: Exhibitor badges are provided free of charge for companies exhibiting/sponsoring at ECCO'20. To add 5 or less free exhibitor tickets to your existing group, please contact the ECCO Office at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. Above, please register them online by logging in to our online portal, click "CONGRESS REGISTRATION" then "New Exhibitor Registration".

 

Q: How can I add tickets for educational activities to my group?

A: A detailed overview of all offered activities can be found here.

Access to the educational activities is only available for ECCO Members 2020 (only exceptions: Basic ECCO: EduCational COurse for Industry). If you are interested in registering a group as ECCO Members, please contact the ECCO office at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. Only once the ECCO Memberships are confirmed by the ECCO Office (please allow up to 5 business days), you will be able to register your group members for educational activities.

You can add tickets for educational activities directly online, please log in to the online portal, click on "CONGRESS REGISTRATION", select your group then add the tickets (except for the Basic ECCO: EduCational COurse for Industry).

For new delegate registrations, please select “Add participant” and after selecting the congress registration fee, the next step will automatically be the selection of educational activities where you can select the preferred activities accordingly.

If you would like to add an educational activity to an existing registration, please log in to the online portal, select your group and “Edit registration” at the respective participant record.

The number of participants for each educational activity is limited. Registration will be on a first-come, first-served basis.

Please register your guests in advance, no onsite registration possible.

Q: How can I register my delegates for the 5th Basic ECCO: EduCational COurse for Industry?

A: To add tickets for the Basic ECCO: EduCational COurse for Industry to your group, please contact the ECCO Office at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and advise how many tickets you will require.

Q: How can I pick up the congress badges and congress bags for my group?

A: The following options are available:

Option 1: The congress badges and bags can be picked up in bulk at the registration/bag desks after requesting an appointment that has been confirmed by the ECCO Office.

Option 2: The congress badges and bags can be picked up individually by the congress delegates, where they also must present their barcode voucher or passport/ID.

Please communicate your preferred pick-up option to the ECCO Office at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. in advance. An e-mail with detailed information about pick-up options will be sent by the ECCO Office to all group leaders a few weeks prior to the congress.

If you have not communicated your preferred pick-up option or arrange an appointment in advance, the badges can only be picked up individually by the delegate.

Q: Is it possible to only register for an educational activity without registering for the main congress programme?

A: Yes, this is possible. During the registration process please select "Educational activity only" instead of the congress fee and in the next step you will be able to select the educational activity you would like to attend.

Q: Is attendance at the educational activities included in the congress registration fee?

A: No, a separate registration is needed to attend an educational activity and separate registration fees apply. An overview of the educational programme and applicable fees can be found here.

Q: I am not an ECCO Member. Can I still register for the educational activities?

A: Access to the educational activities is only available for ECCO Members (paid-up membership fee for the year 2020). You can apply for your ECCO Membership here. Only once your ECCO Membership was confirmed by the ECCO Office (please allow up to 5 business days), you will be able to register for educational activities.

Q: What is the deadline to register for the educational activities?

A: The registration deadline for educational activities is February 03, 2020 (midnight CET). Registration for these courses will be on a first come, first served basis.

Q: How can I pay for an ECCO Interaction ticket or Educational Activity myself when I was registered for the main congress fee by a company?

Q: I am an ECCO Member but the member fee does not show/appear during the registration process.

A: You can check the status of your ECCO Membership by logging in to the ECCO Website and clicking on Membership/Profile afterwards (ECCO Membership 2020 is required to benefit from the reduced member rates for the ECCO’20 Vienna Congress). If you have not yet renewed your membership for the year 2020, you can do so online.

Q: Can I become an ECCO Member and at the same time register for the ECCO’20 Congress?

A: Please note that it is not possible to apply for the ECCO Membership and register for the ECCO’20 Vienna Congress at the same time. You must settle your Membership payment first (you can log in and renew your membership here) and it may take up to 5 business days for your membership application to be processed. After you have received a separate membership confirmation email from the ECCO Office you can register for the ECCO Congress at the reduced member rate. Please note that ECCO does not offer any refunds, so please make sure that you have paid your membership fee and received the confirmation email before registering.

Q: The company I work for is a Corporate Member of ECCO – can I profit from the reduced congress registration fees for ECCO Members?

A: Unfortunately not – only individual members of ECCO may profit from the reduced registration fees for the congress.

Q: Where is the congress taking place?

A: The ECCO’20 Congress takes place at the Reed Messe Wien, Trabrennstraße 7, A-1020 Vienna, Austria. Please proceed to Foyer D to access to the ECCO'20 Congress.  

Q: How can I get to the congress centre by public transportation?

A: Underground line U2 runs between Karlsplatz and Seestadt. The metro station "Krieau" is located next to Reed Messe Wien. Please proceed to the Foyer D to access the ECCO'20 Congress. Further info on on “How to get to Reed Messe Wien”.

Q: Does the registration fee include a transport pass?

A: No, public transportation is not included in the registration fee. You can find further information on public transportation in Vienna here.

Q: Do you organise a bus from Reed Messe Vienna to Wiener Konzerthaus, where the “ECCO Interaction: Hearts and Minds” takes place?

A: No – as the Wiener Konzerthaus is well connected by public transportation, we do not organise a bus for delegates who attend the “ECCO Interaction: Hearts and Minds”.

You can use the underground U2 from Reed Messe Wien to Karlsplatz. From Karlsplatz it is an 8-minutes walk to the Wiener Konzerthaus.

Or change at Karlsplatz to the underground line U4 (direction Heiligenstadt) and go 1 station to Stadtpark. From there it is a 3-minutes walk to the Wiener Konzerthaus.
