Q: How do I get my username & password?
A: First, you must create an ECCO account on the ECCO Portal.
Once your account is created, you will receive an automatic email with your username and password. If you do not receive your login details immediately, please check your spam folder before contacting the ECCO Office at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. With these login details you can then apply for your ECCO Membership and register for the ECCO’23 Congress.
Note: If you have registered last year for the ECCO Congress, you can use the same login details to register for the ECCO’23 Congress. If you have forgotten your password, please use the “forgot password” function on the ECCO Portal.
If you received an e-Voucher code you need to activate it in your ECCO Portal account under “registration”.
Q: How do I become an ECCO Member? How much does it cost?
A: Please find all information about ECCO Membership here.
Q: How do I change my password?
A: You can change your password in your ECCO Account, after signing in via the ECCO Portal. Click “change password”.
Q: How do I update my ECCO Account/Profile?
A: You can update your ECCO Account after logging in to the ECCO Portal. Click ‘update my profile’.
Q: Where do I view the programme?
A: The programme for ECCO’23 Copenhagen Congress can be found here.
Q: How can I pay for my registration?
A: Payments can be made online via credit card (only Mastercard and Visa credit cards are accepted) or by bank transfer. Online payments by credit card are only accepted up to a limit of EUR 5,000. Payments exceeding that amount must be performed by bank transfer. Please include the invoice number and/or registration number as a reference on the bank transfer.
Please be aware that a registration is considered valid only once your payment has been received on the ECCO Bank account and you have received a confirmation email from the ECCO Office. Therefore, please keep in mind that bank transfers could take up to 10 days form some countries.
We do not accept cheques.
Q: How do I get a confirmation of my registration?
A: Following the submission of your registration, you will receive an automatic e-mail with your registration details. A separate confirmation email will be sent to you after we have received your payment.
Q: How can I access my registration record?
A: Following the submission of your registration, your registration record can be accessed by simply logging in here with your username and password.
Q: Can I register for the main Congress (Scientific Programme) and at a later stage register for an Educational Activity or the ECCO Interaction: Hearts and Minds?
A: Yes, this is certainly possible. To add further items to your registration, please log in to the ECCO Portal with your username and password and then click on “Congress Registration”. Any additions made after your registration is invoiced and will appear on a new invoice that will be e-mailed to you.
In order to register for Educational Activities, you need to have a valid ECCO Membership for 2023.
Please note that the Educational Courses are only available onsite in Copenhagen and will not be live streamed online.
Q: Do I need to register separately to attend the satellite symposia offered at the ECCO Congress?
A: No, access to the satellite symposia is included in your congress registration, no separate registration is needed. As the number of seats is limited, some satellite symposia organisers may require advance registration (free of charge) – details would be announced in due course by the satellite symposia organiser.
Q: Can I register only for one congress day?
A: Registrations for a specific day are not possible in advance. Day tickets are only available onsite at the registration desk at the Bella Center, Copenhagen. The number of day tickets is not limited, so you will certainly be able to purchase a day ticket onsite.
Q: How can I pay for an ECCO Interaction ticket or Educational Activity myself when I was registered for the congress by a company?
A: Please sign in into the ECCO Portal, under “Congress Registration” select “Register myself” then choose “Educational Activity Only” or in the extras the ECCO Interaction. In order to register for Educational Activities, you need to have a valid ECCO Membership for 2023.

- Name
- Invoice address (incl. VAT Number if applicable)
- Educational course you would like to sign up for
The ECCO Office will then set up your registration manually and you will be able to pay for the course(s)/ticket(s) by credit card or bank transfer.
Please note tickets for ECCO Interaction: Hearts & Minds are only available as of January 2023
Q: I only want to visit the industry and poster exhibition. Do I need to register for the Scientific Programme?
A: No, Exhibitors/Staff and delegates only visiting the industry and poster exhibition can register online by logging in to the ECCO Portal, clicking on “Congress Registration” and selecting “Exhibitor” fee (EUR 175.-)
Q: I'm registered but unable to attend. Can I get a refund of the registration fee?
A: A cancelled registration can be taken over by another participant (name change) free of charge until February 8, 2023. In case you do not want to transfer your registration to another participant, the following fees apply:
- Cancellation until December 7, 2022: A refund of 50% of your registration fee is granted.
- Cancellation after December 7, 2022: No refund can be granted.
Q: Can I register before the early fee deadline and pay later?
A: In order to benefit from the early registration fee, your payment must be received by December 7, 2022, otherwise the late registration fee will automatically become effective.
Q: I need an invitation letter for my visa application. How do I obtain one?
A: Before obtaining an invitation letter, all registration fees must be fully paid. Individuals can request their invitation letter by logging in with their username and password here, click on “Congress Registration”, “Edit Registration” and then “Request Visa Letter”.
Group leaders can also request invitation letter/s on behalf of their group's participants by proceeding the same way. More information on visa letters can be found here.
Q: How can I receive my congress badge?
A: Your congress badge can be picked up onsite at the registration desk at the Bella Center, Copenhagen during the opening hours of the registration desk and self-printing stations. Badges are not sent in advance to delegates by post. Please note that in order to pick up a pre-paid ticket, the barcode voucher or passport/ID of the delegate must be shown.
For group congress registrations, the badges can be picked up in bulk at the group registration desk, if this has been communicated to the congress organisers at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. by February 8, 2023.
Q: How and when will I receive my CME Certificate?
A: We kindly ask you to log in to the ECCO Portal and fill out the online evaluation form. You will be able to download your individual CME Certificate immediately upon completion of the survey. For delegates attending the scientific programme on the virtual platform, please make sure to watch all the sessions to receive the full CME Credits.
Q: How and when will I receive my Certificate of Attendance?
A: After the congress, you will be able to download your Certificate of Attendance online via the ECCO Portal within your account.
Q: What can I do if I have lost or forgotten my name badge?
A: Please proceed to the registration desk. A deposit charge equal to the current day ticket rate for reprints will be requested for lost or forgotten name badges and will be refunded upon subsequent presentation of both badges (original and reprint).

Q: How can I register my group for the ECCO’23 Congress?
A: To register a group for the congress, the group leader needs to have an account in the ECCO Portal. If you have registered a group already for the ECCO’22 Congress, you can use the same login details for the ECCO’23 Congress registration as well. If you have forgotten your password or username, please click here.
If you do not have an account yet, please click here - to create a new account. Once you set up your account you will receive your login details via email.
With your username and password, you can log in to the ECCO Portal and register your group for the ECCO’23 Copenhagen Congress under the registration button.
There is no minimum number of participants for group registrations. If you make a congress registration on behalf of someone else, please click on the “REGISTER GROUP Buy e-Voucher for 1 or multiple delegates”
Early registration deadline: November 30, 2022
Late registration deadline: February 8, 2023
If you wish to organise a group registration, you have the option to buy e-Vouchers for: members, non-members or exhibitors.

Please be reminded that in order to benefit from member registration fees, the ECCO Membership 2023 fee of the delegate must be fully paid and confirmed BEFORE proceeding with the congress registration! If you pay your membership fee for 2023 by credit card online you can register straight away as an ECCO Member for the congress. If you pay by bank transfer, please allow up to 5 working days before registering as an ECCO Member. We strongly advise to pay the membership fee well in advance to avoid any issues with registration deadlines.
Q: Why is there a group handling fee of 4%
A: The handling fee of 4% will be charged on the invoice to cover the overheads related to group administration (enquiries, updates, membership status checks, name changes, badge printing, payment process…)
Q: When and how do I submit the names and contact details of the group participants?
A: You need to provide the e-Voucher codes to your delegates and invite them to activate their e-Voucher in their ECCO Portal by clicking on “Congress Registration” and “Activate e-Voucher”. Your delegates details will appear automatically on your final registration list. You will be able to download your registration overview in an excel document.
Q: Can I replace one delegate with another?
A: A cancelled registration can be allocated to another delegate at the same registration fee free of charge until February 8, 2023 (name change). Use the button: “Remove & Replace e-Voucher” in your group registration. Afterwards the e-Voucher code can be sent to another delegate.
Q: Can I pay by bank transfer/credit card?
A: Amounts exceeding EUR 5,000- must be paid by bank transfer while smaller amounts can be settled by credit card (Mastercard and Visa only). Please include the invoice number and/or registration number on your payment.
Q: How can I check if my group participants have already renewed their ECCO Membership for 2023?
A: Please contact the ECCO Office at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and provide us with the delegate names and email address. We will check the ECCO Membership status of your delegates.
Q: How can I add exhibitor tickets to my group?
A: Please register them online by logging in to the ECCO Portal, clicking on “REGISTER GROUP Buy e-voucher for 1 or multiple delegate” then select “Exhibitor fee.” The rate for Exhibitors is EUR 175.- per delegate.
Q: How can I add an Educational Course registration to my group?
A: There are a number of Educational Courses available at the 18th Congress of ECCO that your delegates might be interested in. A detailed overview of all offered activities can be found here.
Please note that Educational Courses are only available for delegates attending ECCO’23 Congress in Copenhagen in person. No live stream and no on-demand viewing available for Educational Courses.
Access to the Educational Activities is only available for ECCO Members 2023 (exception: 6th Advanced ECCO: EduCational COurse for Industry).

Only once the ECCO Memberships are confirmed by the ECCO Office (please allow up to 5 business days) will you be able to register your delegates for Educational Activities.
You can add registrations for Educational Activities directly online, only once your delegates have activated their e-Voucher and if they are planning to attend the congress in person.

The number of participants for each Educational Activity is limited. Registration will be on a first-come, first-served basis.

Q: How can I register my delegates for the 6th Basic ECCO: EduCational COurse for Industry?
A: To add tickets for the 6th Advanced ECCO: EduCational COurse for Industry to your group, please contact the ECCO Office at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.; Please advise how many tickets you would like to purchase and provide the right invoice address including VAT or TAX ID number.
Q: How can I pick up the congress badges and congress bags for my group?
A: The following options are available:
Option 1: The congress badges and bags can be picked up in bulk at the registration/bag desks respectively after requesting an appointment that has been confirmed by the ECCO Office: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
Option 2: The congress badges and bags can be picked up individually by the congress delegates, where they also must present their barcode voucher or passport/ID.
Please communicate your preferred pick-up option to the ECCO Office at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. in advance. An e-mail with detailed information about pick-up options will be sent by the ECCO Office to all group leaders a few weeks prior to the congress.
If you have not communicated your preferred pick-up option or arrange an appointment in advance, the badges can only be picked up individually by the delegates.
The congress badges and bags can only be picked up at the registration desk at the Bella Center during the opening hours of the registration desk and self-printing stations.
Badges are not sent in advance to delegates by post.
Q: What is the fee for exhibitors’ access?
A: Please note that exhibitor/staff access can be registered at EUR 175.- per person.
Q: When and where will the congress content be available?
A: The abstracts and presentation titles are online on the ECCO’23 Congress website and on the ECCO Website (Association).
Registered delegates will have access to the live stream of the Scientific Programme. It will be available on-demand on the ECCO’23 Virtual Platform for all registered delegates until June 4, 2023.

Q: Is it possible to only register for an Educational Activity without registering for the Scientific Programme?
A: Yes, click Congress Registration, then select your existing congress registration or select “register myself” if your congress registration is being managed by a group coordinator. In order to register for Educational Activities, you need to have a valid ECCO Membership for 2023. The 6th Advanced ECCO: EduCational COurse for Industry does not require an ECCO Membership 2023.
Q: Is attendance at the Educational Programme included in the congress registration fee?
A: No, a separate registration is needed to attend any Educational Activity and separate registration fees apply. An overview of the Educational Programme and applicable fees can be found here.
Q: I am not an ECCO Member. Can I still register for the Educational Activities?
A: Access to the Educational Activities is only available for ECCO Members (paid-up membership fee for the year 2023). You can apply for your ECCO Membership here.

Q: I am a member of AOCC. Can I still register for ECCO-AOCC Forum, even if I am not a member of ECCO? (Only every other year)
A: Yes, you can. Please get in touch with the AOCC Office to do so.
Q: What is the deadline to register for the Educational Activities?
A: The registration deadline for Educational Activities is February 8, 2023 (midnight CET). Registration for these courses will be on a first come, first served basis.
Q: How can I pay for an ECCO Interaction ticket or Educational Activity myself when I was registered for the main congress fee by a company?
A: Please log into your ECCO Account and under Registration choose ECCO Interaction.

Q: I am an ECCO Member but the member fee does not show/appear during the registration process.
A: ECCO Membership 2023 is required to benefit from the reduced member rates for the ECCO’23 Congress. You can check the status of your ECCO Membership by logging in to the ECCO Portal and clicking on "Membership/Profile". If you have not yet renewed your membership for the year 2023, you can do so online.
Q: Can I become an ECCO Member and at the same time register for the ECCO’23 Congress?
A: If you would like to register at a Member fee to the ECCO'23 Congress, you need to settle your Membership payment first before registering for the Congress (you can log in and renew your membership here). If you pay your membership fee for 2023 by credit card online you can register straight away as an ECCO Member for the congress. If you pay by bank transfer, please allow up to 5 working days before registering as an ECCO Member.Once you receive the membership confirmation email from the ECCO Office, you can register for the ECCO Congress at the reduced member rate. Please note that ECCO does not give any refunds, so please make sure that you pay your membership fee first, receive the membership confirmation email and only then, register for the ECCO Congress.
Q: The company I work for is a Corporate Member of ECCO – can I profit from the reduced congress registration fees for ECCO Members?
A: Unfortunately not – only individual members of ECCO may profit from the reduced registration fees for the congress.

Q: Where is the congress taking place?
A: The ECCO’23 Congress takes place at the Bella Center Copenhagen, Center Boulevard 5, DK-2300 Copenhagen, Denmark. Please proceed to the main entrance to access the ECCO’23 Congress.
Q: How can I get to the congress centre by public transportation?
A: Underground line M1 runs between Vanløse and Vestamager. The metro station "Bella Center" is located by Bella Center's East entrance but please proceed to the main entrance to access to the ECCO’23 Congress. Further info on “How to get to Bella Center”.
Q: Does the registration fee include a transport pass?
A: No, public transportation is not included in the registration fee. You can find further information on public transportation in Copenhagen here.
Q: Do you organise a bus from the Bella Center Copenhagen to the Øksnehallen, where the “ECCO Interaction: Hearts and Minds” takes place?
A: No – as the Øksnehallen is well connected by public transportation, we do not organise a bus for delegates who attend the “ECCO Interaction: Hearts and Minds”.
You can use the Metro from Bella Center to The Central Station (Hovedbanegården). Around 50-100 meters walk.
