For the purpose of allowing a smooth multifunctional ECCO’23 Virtual Platform experience, I hereby agree to the following processing.
• Personalised programme and course attendance needs to be tracked for UEMS CME accreditation purposes.
• In order to allow internal quality assurance and anonymised statistical reporting, the platform is relying on Matomo Statistics
• Default IP tracking by the cloud server solution via Cloud Flare (third country data transfer)
Scientific Programme and Industry Sponsored Satellite Symposia:
• Watching the programme: implemented with Vimeo (third country data transfer)
• Audience questions and voting: implemented with Sli.do (third country data transfer)

The satellite symposia viewing page offer direct links to the respective external booths, company website and external survey pages.
The online exhibition features links to external company websites. The privacy policy and the terms and conditions of the ECCO Virtual Congress do not apply to these external websites, which need to be consulted separately for cookie and data protection policies.
Data categories used:
• Zoom: title, date and time, polls, chat logs, attendee information (screen name, join / leave time)
• Sli.do: submitted questions, date and time, number of likes (anonymously), submitter name (chosen name)
• Cloud Flare: IP address, device, general website content (no further personal data)
• Vimeo: IP address, country, device, streams watched, date/time & Vimeo is using information collected via cookie settings for its own purposes and in their own interest
Data transfers to third countries:
Some of the functionalities implemented in the Platform and marked with “(third country data transfer)” above require a transfer of the above-mentioned data categories to third countries outside the EEA, including the United States. The European Court of Justice has ruled that the United States do not have an adequate level of data protection as US authorities might request access to your data and no effective legal remedies are available against it. You herewith consent to this transfer of your data to third countries, including to the United States.
