How to collaborate?

This homepage outlines our rapidly growing organisation, which aims to optimise the care for patients suffering from Inflammatory Bowel Diseases (IBD).

We hope that our activities and initiatives appeal to you in a way that you may consider joining forces with us either by the sponsorship opportunities or the Unrestricted Grant options below.

ECCO Congress:

The annual ECCO Congress offers a wide range of sponsorship option and provide flexible exhibition booths sizes. The booking process of the opportunities is supported by the ECCO Industry Webshop with the first release available usually in June. At that stage, the satellite symposia slots and exhibition booth booking are opened accompanied by other significant sponsorship items. The venue branding items, digital sponsorship options, and other possibilities are usually released in September.

Since 2021 Sponsorship & Exhibitor bookings are possible via the new Industry Webshop ensuring user-friendly handling of bookings. As always, our Congress offers numerous advertising options to reach KOL’s, as well as the entire IBD Community.

In the Industry Webshop of ECCO Congress, that will open on June 2, 2026, you can book exhibition space, satellite symposia slots, venue branding and several other sponsorship items.

In case you would like to be informed about the expected dates and the list of items before the release, please send an email to the Congress Team (spo-exh@ecco-ibd.eu) and you will be added to the mailing list.

ECCO holds an annual competition offering Fellowships, Grants and Travel Awards to encourage early career scientists, and to promote innovative scientific research in IBD in Europe.

The E-QUALITY project is an initiative of the European Crohn’s and Colitis Organisation to ultimately improve the quality of care of patients living with Inflammatory Bowel Diseases (IBD).

With this project, ECCO emphasizes its statutory mission: To improve the care of all patients with IBD in all its aspects through international guidelines for practice, education, research and collaboration in the area of IBD.

ECCO Educational Workshops

The primary goal of ECCO Educational Workshops is to harmonise IBD practices within ECCO Country Members by presenting the practical use of the ECCO Guidelines on Crohn's Disease and Ulcerative Colitis. Additionally, the Workshops provide continuous medical education with the ultimate aim of improving the quality of care for patients with IBD. ECCO Educational Workshops are aimed at individuals who are interested in IBD and provide an ideal opportunity to network whilst receiving an update on the latest ECCO Guidelines by top gastroenterologists in Europe.

Train the trainer Programme

Sustaining Network, Sharing Knowledge: the Nurse Committee of ECCO, 
N-ECCO presents the Train the Trainer (ToT) programme designed for nurse-physician teams as a two-day in-person training and networking with peers in Vienna.

The purpose of the ToT programme is to accelerate and widen the access to high quality IBD nurse training, based on the ECCO Nurse IBD Curriculum, encouraging applications from all around the world.
