Dear ECCO Family,
In this interview, I had the pleasure of speaking with patient representatives about living with inflammatory bowel disease in low- and middle-income countries. Our conversation explored the impact of IBD on daily life, the challenges of accessing care and treatment, and opportunities to better support patients.
Their perspectives highlight the importance of listening to patients and ensuring that their experiences inform clinical care, research priorities, and healthcare policy. This conversation brings a patient perspective to the ECCO LMIC consensus initiative and its goal of improving IBD care across diverse healthcare settings.
