Want to catch up on the latest in IBD but simply don’t have the time? Wish you could listen to world experts distil years of knowledge and wisdom into a 10 min bolus of what is new and important in their field? Well, Fast Facts in IBD - 2nd Edition is for you! In June this year, under the expert curation Glen Doherty, we were joined by 8 experts covering topics as diverse as Adolescence, Pregnancy, the Elderly, smart use of capsule endoscopy and IUS. All of this is available for ECCO Members to watch again via the ECCO e-learning platform. We look forward to you joining our future Webinars live soon.

My highlights were Mette Julsgaard from Denmark discussing pregnancy - highlighting the role we play in educating women pre-conception on how to ensure they have the best possible outcomes during pregnancy. Simple often cost-effective strategies such as aspirin in high-risk patients to pre-eclampsia is a brilliant example. Jimmi Limdi focussed on a problem we will all face more of - by 2050 it is estimated that there will be 2.1 billion people over the age of 60 and unless there are significant changes in public health at least 1% of them will have IBD. Jimmy Limdi described how best to assess and treat older patients with IBD, myth busting the idea that disease in the older is more benign and highlighting where the treatment and data gaps are.
