GEAB – Gastroenterology Society of Latvia

There is no separate IBD society in Latvia. All Latvian IBD group activities are supported by GEAB (Gastroenteroloģijas Atbalsta Biedrība), the Gastroenterology Society of Latvia. The Gastroenterology Support Society, a non-governmental non-profit organization, was founded by Aldis Pukitis in 1998. The organization´s main tasks are to support gastroenterological ideas, training, education, meetings, public activities and to organise the biannual Latvian Gastroenterology Congress with international participation.
