Iva Hojsak, who has recently joined the P-ECCO Committee, is a paediatric gastroenterologist and head of the Paediatric Department and deputy director of the Children's Hospital Zagreb, Croatia. Iva graduated from the Medical School of Zagreb, where she also received her PhD. She was subsequently elected as assistant professor at University of Zagreb Medical School and University of J.J. Strossmayer Medical School.

Iva HojsakIva has published more than 200 scientific and clinical papers and has been a co-worker on more than 15 international and Croatian scientific projects. She is among the top 2% most cited scientists (Stanford University, USA).
Iva is a member of the ESPGHAN Porto IBD group. She has been a member of the ESPGHAN Council, serving as Education Secretary from 2017 to 2020. She has also been a board member of the ESPGHAN Young Investigators Forum and secretary of the ESPGHAN Committee on Nutrition. She is an associate editor of both the Journal of Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition and Clinical Nutrition. Her main clinical/research interests include Inflammatory Bowel Disease, intestinal failure and parenteral nutrition.
