Report on the 4th ECCO Postgraduate Course in IBD

The 4th ECCO Postgraduate Course in IBD was successfully held on-site during the 20th ECCO Congress in Berlin in February 2025. The course was split into two sessions, with the first session, entitled “Prepare yourself with the experts”, focusing on common complications in IBD practice, which were presented by renowned speakers who are key opinion leaders in the field. The second session, entitled “Case-based discussion with IBD Experts”, was an interactive session with expert panelists, who discussed two vignettes that looked at practical assessment and decision making in the context of complicated Crohn’s Disease and Ulcerative Colitis.
The course attracted 343 participants, and the overall satisfaction rate was high, with an average rating of 4.32 out of 5. The audience involvement was very enthusiastic, with some rather interesting questions that helped in case resolutions, from different points of view. The dedicated faculty, along with the current Chair and moderators from the Education Committee, made this fourth edition of the Postgraduate Course in IBD a great success.
The organisers would like to thank all the attendees for their interest in this educational programme and hope to improve the 5th edition of the course even further.
